i happened to take my blood pressure after girlfrirend made me angry? My blood pressure was at 149/94 and my pulse was 122 beats per minute, Any recommendations on how to keep my blood pressure down when she makes me that mad, im not openly angry towards her, i just happened to be near a machine that tested it so i used it.
My gf is very annoying sometimes, and she frustrates me so bad, at least twice a day... im now worried about having a heart attack.

So pretty much when your gf makes you mad your blood pressure goes up. That's normal. The only way to keep your blood pressure down is to keep yourself calm. No matter what happens you need to remain calm just take a deep breath and if that doesn't help say you need to live for a bit and go for a drive or do something relaxing.

try to calm yourself and better get rid of her.

All forms of extreme emotions, including anger, cause increased heart rate and blood pressure. Rein in the passion in 5 ways:

1 Give Yourself Permission to Express Anger:It's not wrong to express anger, fear, sadness, rage. In fact, it is healthy to release these emotions regularly. What's wrong is when we hurt someone in the process. It is preferable to find safe ways to dump the negative feelings.

2 Combine Mental and Physical Effort for Anger Control:Mental therapy alone may be extremely helpful for anger release, but it can only take you so far. Similarly, the physical act of doing exercise can help many people let off steam, but it may not remove deep-seated anger.

3 Never Hurt Others in the Process: Give yourself the opportunity to express anger in a safe way, without hurting anyone else.

4 Totally Let Go, Without Hesitation.

5 Strive to Forgive: The final step in maintaining anger-release is to truly forgive the person who wronged you as well as to truly forgive yourself.

Now, check your pulse and blood pressure.

Thats pretty normal BP, little fast on the heart rate. That's more likely an adrenaline response. You need to be more specific about your age and heart problems if they exist. If thats the case consult your doctor.

I have mitral valve prolapse a small anamoly that is not dangerous for greater majority who have it. On top of that I get easily excited. I experience the same thing you did quite regularly. If you have time room and good health I suggest doing some push ups or an aerobic warm up to use up and flush the adrenaline.

The purpose of adrenaline is to put your body in a state to do heavy activity. Fight or flight. Avoid caffeine when you feel this too that will boost you up even more.

Singing or focusing on a relaxing song is good I find also.

Anger is a normal emotion and never ceases from us humans. It is a sign that something we love is in danger, or lost, or our pride is involved. You can have good pride and then selfish pride. Anger and pride are closely tied to another, its good and bad. Both can be forfeited willingly.

Ask is your reason good or bad?

Take care mate.
